Incorporated in 2017, Transitions Bike Parks is a Canadian‑owned, rider‑operated company specializing in the planning, design, and construction of progressive bike parks, pump tracks, and mountain bike trails.

Design & Development Specialist / President

Chris Dewar has among the widest range of experience in the Ontario Bike Park design and development industry. In addition to over a decade of multi-disciplinary riding experience, Chris has been a longstanding cycling advocate with professional experience as a design consultant, municipal employee and construction contractor. Through these roles Chris has developed a comprehensive understanding of the entire development process, from consultation to site selection and analysis, conceptual and detailed design, agency approvals, contract tendering, construction and maintenance of over twenty bike park facilities.

Simon Cox

Simon Cox

BMX Site Manager

Simon Cox handles site development for BMX specific projects and is a skilled equipment operator and hand shaper. He is a naturally gifted rider and trail builder who refined his abilities at the infamous Cox BMX Trails in addition to numerous job sites throughout Southern Ontario. With extensive experience in all levels of track construction and maintenance, Simon possesses the ability to build, shape and ride the biggest and most challenging features. He is an asset to the Transitions team and has adapted his skills to the field of MTB trail development, providing a keen sense of detail and flow to enhance the user experience.hrough these roles Chris has developed a comprehensive understanding of the entire development process, from consultation to site selection and analysis, conceptual and detailed design, agency approvals, contract tendering, construction and maintenance of over twenty bike park facilities.

Beyond our core team, we are supported by trusted industry partners and specialists for heavy machinery, asphalt finishing, and paving services from 107 Excavating, Built Right Bike Parks, and General Asphalt Paving – to deliver high‑quality action sports facilities across Canada in the most effective manner.


Lastly, our MTB team is guided by the design and construction wisdom, principles and vision, instilled by the legendary trail pioneer and cycling guru – Igor Dragoslavic, who passed away in 2023, but whose enduring legacy will always be remembered by our team and the larger cycling community.
