Asphalt Pump Tracks
What We Do
Pump tracks are inclusive, low‑barrier action sports facilities that promote physical activity and skill progression for riders of all ages and abilities. Designed within compact footprints, they integrate well into municipal parks and community hubs and complement existing recreation amenities such as skateparks and sports fields.
For most communities, we recommend asphalt‑surfaced pump tracks due to their durability, excellent traction, predictable riding conditions, longer riding season, and significantly reduced maintenance requirements compared to dirt‑surface tracks.
Drawing on extensive experience delivering municipal and private pump track projects, we develop custom designs that accommodate a wide range of rider types and skill levels while respecting site conditions and terrain.
From large intermediate and advanced tracks with multiple riding lines to smaller beginner‑friendly strider tracks, each facility is tailored to fit the available space, budget, and community goals.
Our pump tracks prioritize:
-
• Accommodation of diverse skill levels and user types
-
• Functional site layout and park integration
-
• Rider progression, safety, and enjoyment
-
• Multiple riding lines and feature options
-
• Visual appeal and aesthetics
Typical Municipal Pump Track Projects
While every project is unique, a typical municipal asphalt pump track installation may include:
-
• Site area: Approximately 1,500–4,000 m² depending on track size and surrounding amenities.
-
• Track footprint: Main riding areas typically range from 200–1,000 m².
-
• Features: Progressive rollers, bermed corners, rolling jump features, and multiple riding lines designed to support skill development and continuous riding flow.
-
• Maintenance: Asphalt pump tracks typically require minimal annual maintenance compared to dirt‑surface facilities.
-
• Benefits: Due to their compact footprint and broad appeal across age groups, pump tracks often deliver very high participation relative to the space they occupy, making them an efficient and popular recreation amenity within municipal parks, while activating youth in a healthy, outdoor activity.
